Hi everyone, I've just joined the site, only one artwork up at the moment!
How do the monthly fees work? I can't seem to find much information about fees anywhere?
Hi. I've recently joined MBAS and although I opted to have PayPal as my payment option, no payment options have appeared on my gallery page. Any ideas how I can remedy this? Thanks!
Hello All,I'm just new to the site and am putting up my art for sale. What I have noticed is that once an image has been put up, pressing the 'enlarge' button shows my picture up nice and large (so far so good!). However I have noticed that the large image can be simply downloaded from the site and saved as a pretty good quality jpeg file. This could be used by unscrupulous visitors to then go off and print their own unauthorised copies. Perhaps Bigartspace could create a watermark within the images to help avoid this?Any comments warmly received. Greetings, Padraig

Could you tell me what the average of sales are per year on Bigartspace? So that I have some idea if is possible to sell any of my work or even adding more images.
I am interested in the paying the annual fee, but I really don't want to pay a website who doesn't promote their site properly. There are quite a few artists websites, than just take annual fee's but they do little to promote the website to potential art buyers. Most of them only promote the websites to artists so they can make as many registration fees as they can. As we all know Google is the main place for promoting any website to attract potential clients. This is what people use to search for items, and if people didnt know; to appear on google search pages you have to pay google advertising costs. The more you pay the higher you will appear on search page results.
For example on google search engine:
when you type in "buy art" or anything similar that a potential art buyer would type in, to purchase art, this website is nowhere to be seen, so does that mean bigartspace do not invest much money to attract potential clients to buy our art?
when you type in "sell art" or anything similar an artist would type in to search for websites which allow artsists to sell their work, this site is very well promoted. So does that mean bigartspace invest alot of money in promoting to artists only? so they can attract alot of artists and gain as many registration fees as they can.
I understand you have to promote to artists, but as artists if we pay a registration fee we would want you to equally promote to buyers. What is the point in artists putting their work if websites place more empahisis on promoting to artists rather than art buyers
So my question is the money you make from registration fees, how much of it do you actually use to promote to potential art buyers on google? And besides google, where else is this website promoted to potential art buyers?
In the UK there are only 3 or 4 art selling websites that promote heavily to potential art buyers, as well ast artists. When you type in phrases potential buyers would type into google, to buy art, the results that appear are those that promote to buyers as well as artists. Some of these websites also promote outside the internet as well, like magazines etc,. attracting alot more potential buyers. I dont mind paying a fee to an artist website but it would be only fair if they dedicated their time to attracting potential art buyers as well as artists.
How many people do you get on this site in a month (looking at the work)?
Don't forget to add a logo to your gallery page(s) via your account. It displays on the top left above the navigation column.
We are pleased to let you all know that you can now personalise your own gallery by choosing from a selection of colour schemes, plus add you own gallery logo.
Hey all, saw this site advertised in a magazine...so i joined.
What I like about this site is that once a piece of work has been sold you still have the space (within your lease period) and can put more work up without extra charge. Also, I can swap my work around as I paint new stuff. At 5 spaces a year for under £25 (or two for under £1 a month) I think this site is good value and more geared towards artists than anything else out there. We also get our own gallery as part of the package. Cheers!
I have watched this site develop over the months to include, individual galleries and an art forum. What's next?
Who is/are 'bigartspace'?
Seen an advert for this site in Arts East!
I am very pleased with the services offered by but feel the gallery listings should be more visual (i.e. with a few examples of the sellers work on show).
Just came across this site this evening, i'm really impressed and love the work on sale.
