Wildlife Photographer

I kow somebody that would love to become a wildlife photographer, does anybody here photograph wildlife as a profession? If so is it a good thing to be?

Also have a look at Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2008
And I also noticed this website that lists a few others Photography Competitions 2008.

Yes, the same Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition also has a Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year section. Entries are up to 17 years. I think above that and you're in the main adult section. It looks like the competition is open for 2008. The Natural History Museum has the Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibiting until April. There may be a starting point here for you.
